Effective date: September 22, 2025

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and FederalJobHunt ("FederalJobHunt," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using FederalJobHunt.com, our newsletters, emails, social channels, or any other websites, content, products, or services we provide (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Who We Are; Scope

FederalJobHunt is an independent publisher that provides informational content related to federal careers, applications, and related topics. We are not affiliated with any government agency, USAJOBS®, or the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. References to third-party sites or organizations are for information only and do not imply endorsement.

These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Services ("Users").

2) Changes to the Services or these Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Services only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4) Accounts & Security

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your login credentials. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information;
  • Keep your password confidential and secure;
  • Notify us promptly at [security@federaljobhunt.com] of any suspected unauthorized use or security incident.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe your account has been compromised or if you violate these Terms.

5) Privacy

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information. Please review it carefully.

6) Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Services lawfully and responsibly. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you must not:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable activities;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Attempt to access data or accounts without authorization, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including by introducing malware, performing denial-of-service attacks, or "scraping" at a rate or in a manner that degrades our infrastructure;
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security or access controls;
  • Infringe intellectual property or other proprietary rights (including unauthorized storage, copying, or distribution of content, software, data sets, audio, images, or graphics);
  • Send spam, chain letters, or bulk unsolicited communications;
  • Use automated means (including bots, spiders, or crawlers) to access, query, or collect data from the Services in violation of our robots.txt or without our prior written permission;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our express authorization;
  • Use our name, logo, or trademarks without permission.

We may investigate and take appropriate action for suspected violations, including removing or restricting content, limiting access, or terminating accounts.

7) Intellectual Property; Limited License

Unless otherwise indicated, the Services (including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, page layout, and code) are owned by or licensed to FederalJobHunt and are protected by intellectual property and other laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or publicly perform any portion of the Services without our prior written permission, except as allowed by law (e.g., fair use). All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are the property of their respective owners.

8) User Contributions

If you submit, upload, post, or otherwise provide content ("User Content")—for example, comments or feedback—you represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to do so, and that your User Content does not violate any laws or the rights of others.

By providing User Content, you grant FederalJobHunt a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform, and publicly display such User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Services. You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content, subject to this license.

We may remove or refuse to display any User Content at our sole discretion.

The Services may include links to third-party sites or services and may display advertising (including Google AdSense) or affiliate links. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services. If you visit a third-party site, you do so at your own risk and should review that site’s terms and privacy policies.

Some links on the Services may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you click or make a purchase. This comes at no additional cost to you.

10) No Professional Advice; Educational Use Only

Content on the Services is for informational and educational purposes only. FederalJobHunt does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice, and none of our content should be relied upon as such. Always consult a qualified professional regarding your specific situation.

We also do not speak for any government entity. Nothing on the Services guarantees eligibility for, or success in, any application, hiring process, or benefit.

11) Electronic Communications & Newsletters

By using the Services, you may consent to receive electronic communications from us (e.g., emails or newsletters). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. We may still send you transactional or service-related communications.

12) Monitoring & Enforcement

We may monitor the Services and your use of them for security, performance, and compliance purposes. We may disclose information as required or permitted by law, to protect our rights or users, or to comply with legal process. We reserve the right to remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts if we believe these Terms have been violated.

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on the Services in a way that constitutes infringement, please send a written notice to our designated agent at [dmca@federaljobhunt.com] with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We may remove or disable access to the material and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

14) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or have created risk or possible legal exposure for us.

15) Disclaimers of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FEDERALJOBHUNT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

16) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FEDERALJOBHUNT AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED \$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY—WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Certain jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions or limitations of certain damages; if those laws apply to you, some of the above may not apply.

17) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FederalJobHunt and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

18) Governing Law; Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or related to them or the Services will be governed by the laws of [insert governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in [insert county/state or other venue] for the resolution of any disputes that are not subject to arbitration.

At our election, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration administered by a reputable arbitration provider under its applicable rules. If we elect arbitration, judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for matters related to intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Services.

19) International Users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that the Services are appropriate or available for use in other locations.

20) Severability; Waiver; Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of such right or provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and FederalJobHunt regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements relating to the Services.
